Yale Institute of Sacred Music
We were engaged to complete a concept design for both the renovation of 406 Prospect Street, the former Burton B. Twichell House, as well as a partial renovation to the current home of the Institute of Sacred Music (ISM), located across the street in the Brainard and Hopkins wings of the Sterling Divinity Quadrangle.
We completed building surveys, assessed the existing building systems, and participated in interviews with various user groups to develop the program for both 406 and 409 Prospect Street sites. Conceptual design layouts were developed to optimize available building area to meet the desired program. A major goal of the concept design was to identify building deficiencies and establish an overall project scope for a comprehensive facility renovation.
