The Luxe is a 170,000 square foot, mixed-use, high-rise proposal planned for a prominent corner in downtown Stamford. The ground floor contains a lobby and 2,000 square feet of retail space with three levels of elevated parking, two floors of commercial office space and thirteen floors of residences above.
The residences consist of single story flats at the lower levels, giving rise to generously sized, two-story duplex units above that provide sweeping panoramic views of Long Island Sound. The design proposes shared building amenities including a pool, health club and a screening room.
The building’s enclosure utilizes an articulated glass and aluminum curtain wall system in addition to regularly integrated bands of limestone spandrel panels. The Luxe at once complements its surroundings while maintaining a strong, modern identity.
